얼마 전 대구 근처에 갈 일이 있어서 전날 하루 묵었던 대구의 숙소.
하룻밤 묵어보니 괜찮았던 곳이라 추천해 봅니다.
4인 가족이 호텔숙소를 구할 때 꽤 어려운 게 4인이 한 번에 수용되는 룸이 많지는 않다는 거예요.
아이들이 크고나니 종종 룸을 2개 예약해서 찢어져서 자는 경우도 있었어요.
그래서 늘 호텔보다는 에어비앤비나 장기투숙앱을 이용하곤 했는데 지난여름휴가에 장기숙소를 구했다가 너무 실망해서 당분간은 호텔만 찾기로 했어요.
이번 숙소는 대구의 <브라운도트 호텔> 타 지역에 지점들도 몇군데 운영되는 호텔체인이었습니다.
찾아보면 신촌, 광안리, 대구, 부산, 대전, 광주, 포항 등에도 같은 브랜드의 호텔이 운영 중이네요.
'브라운도트 호텔'을 검색해보면 가성비 숙소로 소개가 많이 되는데요. 제가 묵어보니 진짜 가성비 맞습니다.
저는 호텔을 예약할 때 아고다로 예약합니다. 이번에도 아고다로 검색해서 투숙했어요.
아고다에서 제가 예약할 때 이 객실은 스위트 트윈이었어요.
침대는 더블 침대가 2개 들어간 구성이었습니다.
4인이 머물기 적당한 공간감
4인이 묵을 객실로 적당해보였어요. 침대 4인용이고 테이블에 의자도 4명이 앉을 수 있었습니다.
딱 4인이 머물기 좋았어요.
호텔에 4인이 투숙 가능한 객실이라고 가봤을 때 정말 딱 침대만 있고 나머지가 붙박이처럼 구성되어서 갑갑한 공간들이 많은데 여기는 그렇지 않았어요. 침대 공간을 제외하고 생활할 수 있는 공간이 꽤 여유 있었습니다.
오픈형 옷장 옆에는 스타일러가 있어서 출장오는 분들이 사용하기 딱이었어요.
저도 겉옷에 밴 식당 냄새를 빼기위해 이용했어요.
이 숙소의 매력은 커다란 욕실
사실 호텔에 묵을 때 만족감을 좌우하는 것 중 하나가 욕실이라고 생각해요.
4인이 하나의 욕실을 사용하면 솔직히 좀 복작복작하잖아요.
그런데 이 곳은 용도별로 공간이 각각 나뉘어 있었어요. 욕실을 위해 상당히 많은 공간을 할애해서 동시에 욕실을 이용하는 게 가능했습니다.
세면대와 오픈형 행거가 욕조 진입 전에 놓여 있어서 손만 씻을 때는 이 공간을 이용하면 편하고, 씻거나 볼일을 봐야 할 때는 따로 안쪽에 있는 샤워부스나 화장실을 이용할 수 있는데 센스 있게 양쪽 공간 가운데에 세면대가 또 있었어요.
당황스러웠던 건 월풀 욕조가 방안에서 그냥 보이는 거였죠. 하하하하하.
어린아이들을 데리고 여행한다면 월풀을 이용하겠지만 성별이 다른 아이들이라면 사용하긴 어렵겠죠?
커튼이나 가림막이 있었으면 하는 아쉬움은 있었습니다.
이곳은 비치용품을 로비 카운터에서 받거나 구매해서 사용할 수 있었어요. 저는 웬만한 건 다 가지고 다니는 편이라 굳이 받지 않았습니다. 아예 비치하지 않고 필요할 경우에만 받아가는 거 좋았어요.
다음날 아침에는 뷔페로 운영되는 조식을 먹었는데요. (조식시간에는 밥 먹느라.... 촬영한 사진이 없습니다.)
7시부터 9시까지 조식 식당을 운영하는데 (전 상당히 이른시간이라고 생각했는데 다들 일찍 나와서 식사를 하시더군요! 출장으로 머무는 사람들은 딱 좋은 운영시간 일 것 같아요.) 셀프 라면 조리가 가능한 게 신기했어요. 저는 빵과 샐러드로 아침을 챙겨 먹었는데 다들 라면 한 그릇씩 아침으로 먹더군요. 종류별로 골라가며 라면 끓여 먹는 거 재밌어 보였습니다.
이날 사실 일찍 일어났는데 잠든 아이들을 기다리며 늑장을 부렸더니 갔을 때 테이블이 이미 꽉 차 있었어요. 서둘러서 내려오라던 직원분의 말이 진짜였다니!!!
조용해서 좋았던 호숫가 산책
식사 하고 잠시 방에 들렀다가 바로 앞 공원으로 산책을 하러 가봤습니다.
아침 먹고 산책을 할 수 있는 건 휴일에 또는 휴가에 누릴 수 있는 사치죠. 우리는 이런 걸 놓칠 수가 없었어요 :)
천천히 저수지를 따라 놓은 산책로를 한바퀴 걸었습니다. 전날 차를 타고 오랜 시간 이동을 한 탓에 아이들은 신나게 뛰다가 다시 걷다가 하며 공원 산책을 했어요. 공원 한쪽에 설치된 운동기구도 한 번씩 경험해 보고 말이죠.
이 산책로가 좋았던 건 어디서나 저수지에 비친 풍경을 즐길 수 있다는 거였어요. 이상하죠? 같은 풍경이어도 물에 비친 모습은 왠지 신비롭게 느껴집니다. 그래서 물가를 걸으면 기분이 더 좋아지나 봐요.
송호지공원은 산책로가 꽤 깔끔하게 조성되어 있어서 아이들과 천천히 걷기 좋았어요. 이 호수의 원래 용도는 뭔지 모르겠지만 공원으로서의 기능은 충분히 갖추고 있었어요. 산책로에 이따금 저수지를 바라볼 수 있는 벤치가 놓여있었고 작게 운동시설도 설치되어 있었어요. 화장실은 저수지 둑 아래쪽에 있어서 진입하기 전 또는 후에 이용하기 좋을 듯했습니다.
화장실이 놓인 공간 앞으로도 작은 공간이 있어서 근처의 시민들이 쉬기에 좋아보여요.
다시 숙소로 돌아와 체크아웃을 했어요.
나오면서 보니 대구를 소개하는 책자가 놓여있었어요. 영어, 일본어, 중국어 버전으로 놓여있더군요.
잠깐 훑어보니 대구의 주요 여행지와 맛집들을 소개해둔 가이드가 빼곡하게 실려있었습니다.
이 지역이 대구에서 기업과 숙박업소들이 모여있는 곳이라고 하던데 외국인들도 많이 찾는 곳인가 봅니다.
이곳은 대중교통으로 방문하기는 어려운 곳이에요. 차량으로 이동하는 경우에는 추천할만하지만 대중교통으로 이동하는 경우에는 시내호텔이 나을 거에요.
대구에 또 들르게 된다면 브라운도트에 다시갈 의향이 있어요.
값비싸지는 않지만 깔끔한 조식과 이용객입장에서 만들어진 객실에 매우 만족한 가성비 숙소였어요.

Sweet Twin Accommodation
The accommodation in Daegu where I stayed for a day the day before because I had to go near Daegu recently.
I recommend it because it was a good place to stay overnight.
What's quite difficult when a family of four finds a hotel accommodation is that there aren't many rooms where four people can be accommodated at once.
As the children grew older, they often booked two rooms and slept in torn apart.
So I always used to use Airbnb or long-term accommodation apps rather than hotels, but I was so disappointed when I got a long-term accommodation last summer vacation that I decided to only look for hotels for the time being.
This accommodation was a hotel chain with several branches in other areas of the <Brown Dot Hotel> in Daegu.
If you look, there are hotels of the same brand in Sinchon, Gwangalli, Daegu, Busan, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Pohang.
If you search "Brown Dot Hotel", it is often introduced as a cost-effective accommodation. When I stayed there, it was very cost-effective.
When I book a hotel, I make a reservation with Agoda. I searched for Agoda again this time and stayed.
When I made a reservation at Agoda, this room was a suite twin.
The bed was composed of two double beds.
A good sense of space for four people
It looked reasonable as a room for four people. It was for four people, and there were four chairs at the table.
It was just good for four people to stay.
When I went to the hotel for 4 people, there were lots of stuffy spaces because there were only beds and the rest were built-in, but this room was not the case. There was a lot of room to live in except for the bed space.
There was a styler next to the open closet, so it was perfect for business travelers to use.
I also used it to get rid of the smell of the restaurant on my outerwear.
The charm of this hotel is the big bathroom
Actually, I think one of the things that determines satisfaction when staying in a hotel is the bathroom.
Honestly, if four people use one bathroom, it's a little complicated.
However, the space was divided by use here. It was possible to use the bathroom at the same time by devoting a lot of space to the bathroom.
The sink and open hanger are placed before entering the bathtub, so you can use this space to wash your hands, and you can use the shower booth or bathroom inside when you need to wash or do business, but there was another sink in the middle of both spaces.
What was baffling was that the Whirlpool bathtub was just visible from the room. Hahahaha.
If I travel with young children, I will use Whirlpool, but it will be difficult for children of different genders, right?
There was a regret that I wanted there to be a curtain or a screen.
You could get your beach supplies at the lobby counter or buy them and use them. I tend to carry almost everything, so I didn't bother to take them. It was nice to get them when you need them without putting them at all.
I had a buffet breakfast the next morning. (I had breakfast during breakfast... I don't have any pictures taken.)
The breakfast restaurant is open from 7 to 9 (I thought it was pretty early, but everyone came out early to eat! I think it would be a perfect time for people staying on business trips.) It was amazing how they could cook their own ramen. I had breakfast with bread and salad, and everyone had a bowl of ramen for breakfast. It looked fun to cook ramen by choice.
Actually, I woke up early this day, and I was waiting for the sleeping children, and when I went, the table was already full. I can't believe what the staff told me to hurry down was real!!!
A walk by the lake that was nice because it was quiet
After eating, I stopped by the room for a while and went for a walk in the park right in front of me.
Having breakfast and being able to take a walk is a luxury to have on holiday or vacation. We couldn't miss it :)
Slowly, I took a walk along the trail along the reservoir. The day before, the children traveled for a long time by car, so they ran excitedly and then walked again and took a walk in the park. They also experienced exercise equipment installed on one side of the park once in a while.
The good thing about this trail was that you can enjoy the view reflected in the reservoir everywhere. Isn't it strange? Even though it's the same scenery, the reflection in the water seems mysterious. That's why I feel better when I walk by the water.
Songhoji Park has a pretty neat walkway, so it was good to walk slowly with the children. I don't know what the original purpose of this lake was, but it functioned well as a park. There was an occasional bench on the trail overlooking the reservoir, and it was fitted with a small exercise facility. The bathroom was on the bottom of the reservoir bank, so it would be nice to use before or after entering.

I came back to the dorm and checked out.
As I came out, I found a booklet introducing Daegu. It was in English, Japanese, and Chinese versions.
When I looked through it for a while, there were a lot of guides introducing major travel destinations and restaurants in Daegu.
I heard that this area is a place where companies and accommodations gather in Daegu, but it must be a place where many foreigners also visit.
This is a difficult place to visit by public transportation. I recommend it if you're traveling by car, but if you're traveling by public transportation, a downtown hotel would be better.
If I visit Daegu again, I'm willing to go to Browndott again.
It was not expensive, but it was a cost-effective accommodation that was very satisfied with a clean breakfast and a room made from the perspective of the user.
